The capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur is recognised as an exotic tourist destination. With the city boasting royal palaces and regal forts on its territory, Jaipur holds Rajasthan’s rich history and heritage in all its destinations. The welcoming vibe of the city attracts both Indian and foreign travellers to visit Jaipur. Apart from that, this pink city is also dotted with a wide range of recreational parks where people can organise family outings. These parks not just satisfy the recreational purposes of the people but also stand as the remnant of the regal Rajput dynasties.
Jaipur has always been on my travel bucket list. Like every Indian, I was also fascinated by the royalty that this city exhibits. What caught my attention the most was its lush greenery and exquisite palatial gardens and courtyards. Thus, I went on with my flight booking and managed to purchase an extremely good deal on fligh ticket for Jaipur at https://www.intermiles.com/flights. After that, I booked a room for myself at one of the plush hotels in Jaipur for an entire week. Having completed my air ticket purchase and hotel booking, I continued with the next part of my trip. Since I checked into the hotel a bit late after reaching, I carried out my Jaipur expedition the following day. Below is a comprehensive guide of the gardens and parks in Jaipur where I made my presence.

Ram Niwas Garden
Built in 1868 by the ruler Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh, Ram Niwas Garden is a regal garden in Jaipur. Nestled in the heart of the city, this garden is considered a heritage landmark in India. Sprawling over an area of 30 acres, this beautiful garden houses an exhibition ground. This garden is also adorned with several fountains that add beauty to its charm. At this regal garden, I visited Bird Park which is a must-visit place in Jaipur. Here, I spotted different kinds of eye-catching birds. If you are a nature lover, this place will take you to a paradisical land. Also, if you want to organise a picnic or a small get-together with family and friends, this landscaped garden boasting lush greenery would be an appropriate spot for you.
Vidyadhar Garden
Another historical landmark in Rajasthan is the Vidyadhar Garden. Situated in Ghat ki Guni, this garden was built in memory of Vidyadhar Bhattacharya in 1988. He was one of the chief architects to design Jaipur city. Owing to its lush green landscapes, this garden today is one of the most notable picnic destinations in Jaipur. Exhibiting a fusion of Hindu-Muslim architectural design, Vidyadhar Garden invites a huge number of tourists to its premises. Here, I clicked numerous pictures of the flower beds. With a backdrop of scintillating lakes, this garden makes itself heaven for nature lovers. If you want to take a break from the cacophony of bustling city life, heading to this pristine garden would be the best thing to do.
Kanak Vrindavan Garden
Another royal garden situated on the base of Nahargarh hills near Amber Fort is the Kanak Vrindavan Garden. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh around 280 years ago, this garden projects an amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles. Compared to the gardens of Vrindavan which was the home of Lord Krishna, this garden features many sacred places. When I was walking amidst its verdant greens, I witnessed an exquisite marble fountain, Parikrama. This garden also serves as a home to Govind Devji Temple. Here, the mirror decorations on the walls is worth the watch. If you are looking for a place filled with history and magnificence in Jaipur, then visiting Kanak Vrindavan Garden should be your top priority.
Sisodia Rani Garden
Inside the complex of Sisodia Rani Palace, this garden was constructed in 1728. To honour the Queen of Maharaja Sawai Singh, this palace was built as a summer retreat. Though not very large in area, Sisodia Rani Garden is regarded as a serene spot to escape the bustling crowd of the city. This step garden is covered with towering trees that provide relief to tourists from the scorching sun. While I was on my way to Agra, I took a pit stop here. Since the garden is not too big, I covered it entirely in less than 1 hour. If you are looking for a spot to take some rest while on your way to Lal Dungri or Agra, you can head to Sisodia Rani Garden. You can also visit popular places nearby this garden that includes Moti Dungri Temple and RusiRani Village.
So, if you want to tour around the best gardens and parks in Jaipur, then add these places to your itinerary and have a fascinating getaway in the lap of nature.
